Your information
What is saved, and what stays with you.
Your collection and research
Your profile, selected photos, research results, notes, assessments, and introduction drafts remain in the current page visit. They are not saved to an artist account or our application database. Refreshing or closing the page can erase unsaved work.
Download a project file to keep your work on your device, and reopen that file inside Maker Waypoint to continue. Opening a project file does not upload it or run research. Project files include photos and business details. PDF reports are readable copies and cannot restore a session. Your access code and research consent are not included in project files.
Research requests
When you confirm your profile and agree to research, your submitted product details, market notes, exclusions, and selected photos are sent to OpenAI to investigate potential stores. Maker Waypoint requests that these API responses not be stored through the API response-storage feature. OpenAI’s applicable service and data-handling policies still apply. Include only information and images you are authorized to share.
Purchases and access
To deliver and manage a Research Pass, we retain the checkout email address, purchase and payment identifiers, access-code verification data, email-delivery status, and batch-usage counts. Purchased passes have no expiration date. We store a verification hash rather than the access code itself. Technical request counts help limit abuse and spending; checkout rate limits use a hashed network identifier rather than storing the raw IP address in our checkout records.
Square processes payment details on its checkout pages. Card details are not collected by Maker Waypoint. Resend processes the recipient address and message to deliver the access-code email. This email is for your purchase and access, and does not sign you up for a marketing list.
Technical and purchase records are separate from your collection project. Receiving an access code does not create a saved artist profile, and clearing a browser cache does not refill used research batches.
